Shipping and Receiving 1st Shift (4:00 am start)

Job Summary: Responsible for safely operating fork lift and handling inventory counts.  Responsible for shipping and receiving area including incoming and outgoing shipments. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.      Assisting forklift drivers

2.      Safe operation of forklift

3.      Handling of inventory counts

4.      Loading and unloading of trucks

5.      Scheduling of trucks for incoming and outgoing shipments

6.      Printing of the pick list and BOL

7.      Maintaining clean and organized warehouse

8.      Monitoring of warehouse

9.      Receiving material in system

10.  Oversight of warehouse when manager is out of office

11.  Lock and unlock warehouse at beginning and end of shift

12.  Other duties as required to meet business needs                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     

SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

 Ability to assist in directing the activities of employees within department, must be a team player with the ability to develop and maintain a team environment.  High School diploma or general education degree (GED); One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must have ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals and have ability to speak effectively to his/her departmental employees. Has working knowledge of basic computer skills.  Ability to drive fork truck with certification. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
