Summary
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Shift Supervisor is
responsible for leading a team of Shop Labourers and ensuring production meets
quality control and safety standards.
Hours
We are hiring for 2 different shifts:
1) Friday to Monday 5:30am – 4:00pm
2) Monday to Thursday 4:00pm-2:30am.
Premiums paid for weekend shifts and night shifts - double premium for weekend
night shift.
Job Duties
- General labour work at our shop location in Saskatoon
- Prefabrication of wall and flooring systems
- Assign roles each day
- Planning/Executing daily schedule
- Oversees final product quality
- Ensuring employees are properly trained and meeting quality control standards
- Load and unload materials
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment
- Work with team in the shop to complete projects within established timeframes
- Ensure shop safety is maintained and safety documentation is completed
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
- Maintain open and clear communication with the team to establish goals, timelines, and expectations
- Help maintain cleanliness and safety of the shop and yard areas
- Perform additional assignments per branch manager’s discretion
Requirements
- High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent (an asset but not required)
- Minimum five (5) year experience in framing
- Minimum five (5) year experience in construction or carpentry work
- Valid driver's license and vehicle to get to work

Work Conditions
- Use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
- Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust
- Must be able to lift (up to 50 pounds), push, pull or carry heavy objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
- May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles
- May be exposed to intermittent loud noise
- Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination
- Excellent stamina is required
- Hazards associated with the construction industry
