Wolfgang Confectioners currently has an opening for Shift Supervisor on our 2nd shift. Working hours are 2pm - 10pm Monday to Friday.
Successful candidates will display the following:
The Shift Supervisor provides leadership and control of all shift inputs and outputs, from material control to machine center and employee performance, labor utilization and waste management, to all production documents and document control, for reporting purposes.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Represents Wolfgang Confectioners values-based culture and engages employees in a rigorous continuous improvement environment.
Ensures employee accountability and complies with work-place safety policies, leads by example in the support of SQF and Food Safety programs and GMPs.
Conducts routine process audits in area of responsibility to ensure:
Right sizes crew staffing to item standard.
Product quality is manufactured to customer specification.
Maintains schedule attainment, and adherence.
Ensures production document control, and accurate input/output reporting in ERP system.
Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports.
Skills required to be successful in this role:
Tough minded management style, positive problem-solving skills using continuous improvement methodology.
Multi-cultural leadership.
Excellent communication skills, bi-lingual desired.
Strong Business Acumen, Data Driven.
Knowledge of ERP systems and productivity software required.
Six Sigma or LEAN certification preferred, but not required.
Ability to complete required paperwork.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Minimum Position Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in related field preferred or 5 years of equivalent food manufacturing experience
Manufacturing Supervisory Experience
Ability to understand complex verbal and written instructions
Working knowledge of LEAN High-Performance Systems
Flexibility of tasks assigned.
