 THE COMPANY:

Horizon Ag & Turf was established in 2024 as Agland and Martin Deerline merged operations. While the name is different, you can expect the same faces to greet you, quality equipment, timely service solutions and parts reliability when you walk into our dealership locations.

 

THE POSITION:

You are as handy with a laptop as you are with a wrench!!

·        A 3rd-4th year apprentice or JOURNEYMAN Service Technician.

·        Who likes working with diesel engines, electrical and hydraulics; and

·        You are passionate about repairing and diagnosing equipment!

·        Previous John Deere dealership experience is an asset but not a requirement.

·        With the support of Shop Foreman or Journeyman Service Technician performs basic/complex agricultural/outdoor power equipment diagnostics and determines what repairs are required, if needed.

·        Work on a variety of agricultural equipment tractors, combines and sprayers.

·        Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure the equipment is running properly and safely.

·        Use diagnostic tools and software to identify issues and provide accurate repair solutions and quotes.

·        Maintain detailed records or services performed, parts used and time spent on each job.

·        Work closely with service/ parts department and management to ensure smooth operations.

 

Skills & Qualifications

·        Agricultural Technician Apprenticeship (in progress) or fully ticketed Journey person

·        Proficient in technology and software.

·        Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·        Mechanical aptitude.

·        Problem solving skills.

·        Previous experience in mechanical repair and maintenance of agricultural or heavy equipment.

·        Strong interest in agriculture, turf equipment and outdoor power products.
