Benchmark Automation & Controls, the Mid-Atlantic’s premier specialist in energy management and automation, is seeking a Service Manager to lead our team in the Baltimore, MD area!

The ideal candidate is a technically strong, customer-focused professional who can manage a skilled team of technicians, ensure top-quality service delivery, and drive overall operational excellence.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the service department.
  • Ensure all service contracts, maintenance agreements, and projects are executed efficiently and profitably.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support service technicians, dispatchers, and coordinators.
  • Maintain high levels of customer and team satisfaction through responsive communication and problem-solving.
  • Develop and implement service procedures, schedules, and performance metrics.
  • Support sales teams in estimating and quoting service projects and retrofits.
  • Monitor department KPIs, budgets, and profitability goals.
  • Ensure all safety and compliance standards are met.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 5+ years of commercial experience in HVAC service or BAS controls, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, DDC controls, and BAS integration (experience with systems like Schneider, Siemens, Johnson Controls, Trane, or Niagara preferred).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to manage service operations, budgets, and customer relationships.
  • Technical training, associate’s degree, or equivalent work experience required; bachelor’s degree in engineering or business preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Wage Range: $45.00 - $65.00 per hour + managerial bonus structure!

·         Commensurate with experience. This range represents a general guideline; however, several factors are considered when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
