Service Director

Overview:

Vanguard Landing is seeking an experienced, organized, and mission-driven Service Director (SD) to lead and oversee direct support staff and programming for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The SD plays a key leadership role in ensuring high-quality care, compliance with state guidelines, and a vibrant, inclusive environment for our residents and day participants. What You'll Do:

• Oversee daily programming, staff scheduling, and ISP implementation. 
• Lead and supervise all Direct Support Professionals and managers. 
• Assist with licensure applications, assessments, audits, and service planning. 
• Support residents with daily living skills and behavior management. 
• Coordinate appointments, transportation, and community engagement. 
• Conduct staff meetings, performance evaluations, and in-service training. 
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and documentation across all residential spaces. 
• Maintain accurate billing and assist with property management and leasing. 
• Support a team-oriented, inclusive, and mission-focused work culture. 

What We're Looking For: 

• 2+ years of leadership in disability services or support programming. 
• Associates Degree or higher (Master's preferred)
• Experience managing teams and coordinating residential care. 
• Strong organization, communication, and documentation skills. 

Bonus Qualifications: 

• Comfortable working in both administrative and hands-on care roles. 
• Familiarity with DBHDS/DMAS regulations and licensure processes. 
• Able to lift/assist individuals using safe practices.
