Maria's Italian Kitchen is looking for an experienced Baker for our Central Kitchen located in Van Nuys.  Shifts begin at 5:00 am.

The Baker is responsible for the preparation and baking of all baked goods.  This position is expected to produce quality products that meet our standards while promoting and adhering to safe working habits and guidelines.  

Position Responsibilities

1. Prepares baked items by following recipes.
2. Consistently producing quality baked goods with minimal errors.
3. Sets up and maintains workstation including other areas of the department.
4. Understands the value for cleanliness and maintains a clean work station at all times.
5. Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

1. Able to understand and speak English in written and verbal form.
2. Ability to listen and take constructive critiques effectively.
3. Able to prioritize effectively and meet daily expectations in a timely manner.

Requirements

1. One to two years of baking experience, such as, but not limited to; Whole Cakes and Desserts
2. Must be able to take direction successfully
3. Must be available in the early mornings including Saturday
4. Must be a Team Player and have a Great and Fun work attitude
