Summary of Position

Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Sr. Production Manager will be tasked to ensure reliable on-time delivery of high-quality products while meeting internal financial and operational goals and objectives. The successful candidate will be the bridge between our clients and our installation professionals as well as manufacturing vendors, delivering world class projects for some of North America’s leading companies in the financial, real estate, and retail markets.

Role & Responsibilities

·        Evaluating, adjusting, and creating new policies and procedures as needed for effective operations

·        Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed

·        Acting as a liaison between management and workers

·        Review CAD detailing of projects for the purpose of pricing and fabrication of digital fixture

·        Liaise with vendors, overseeing the project’s quality control, while ensuring they are delivering on time and on budget.

·        Working closely with Project Managers and Coordinators to plan and schedule the production of their projects.

·        Investigate production issues and develop appropriate resolutions.

·        Determine equipment, material and manpower requirements for project execution.

·        Where required, aid in creating manufacturing specifications, and bill of materials using Solidworks assembly models.

·        Visit suppliers to inspect, pick up or deliver items in a timely manner.

·        Visit job sites to assist installation teams as required.

·        Work to ensure installers have latest company policies and installer kits.

·        Manage safety certificates and equipment use tickets for installers to ensure they are up to date.

·        Provide Client Management including: needs analysis, translating client requirements to the internal team, managing ongoing communications and addressing client issues.

·        Contribute to project close-out including: deficiencies, post project analysis and lessons learned as well as ensuring as built drawings are accurate.

 

Qualifications & Skills Required


·         A post-secondary degree in industrial design / engineering and/or at least 5 years demonstrated industry experience.

·        A solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting and scheduling.

·         Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials and finishing aspect of wood, metal, glass and plastic fabrication would be an advantage.

·         Strong analytical and creative thinking skills for effective decision-making and problem solving.

·         Ability to coordinate, plan, organize and manage multiple responsibilities effectively with speed and accuracy.

·         Outstanding leadership and relationship-building skills, with the ability to develop strong partnerships internally and externally across many different levels of the organization.

·         Can effectively work in multifaceted team environments as well as being able to complete tasks independently.

·         Experience with complex fixture production and installations.

·         Experience working with multiple trades on construction sites.

         Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to excellence

         Excellent spelling, grammar, and mathematics.

        Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)

        Knowledge of AV/digital display application (hardware/system/software) would be advantage or a willingness to learn.

         Proficiency in SolidWorks.

         Experience in detail CAD modelling and drawing of store fixtures, displays, furniture using Solidwork is preferred.

         A current Ontario driver’s license required
