ROLE OVERVIEW:

As Senior Financial Analyst, you will be primarily responsible for leading the Company’s internal and external financial reporting processes, which will comprise preparing the consolidation and all related monthly internal reporting, preparing the financial statements, MD&A and related supporting schedules, assisting with the annual budget process, and being the key liaison between the Company and its external auditors and tax consultants. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be a key player in ensuring that the Company’s reported financial information is accurate, complete and free of material misstatement.

YOU WILL:

·         Review and analyze the Company’s financial information through the monthly consolidation process, including understanding key variances period-over-period and against budget, and being able to speak to the nature of the reported financial information to senior management and other stakeholders.

·         Lead the preparation of the Company’s quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and MD&A, ensuring compliance with IFRS.

·         Be responsible for producing monthly reporting packages, both at the clinic level and at the consolidated level, to ensure timely monitoring of financial results, including in-depth analysis of variances to budget and expectations.

·         Prepare the interpretation and application of emerging accounting standards and issues relevant to the Company, including writing technical memos, reviewing appropriate standards under IFRS and working with various business groups to assess underlying issues and facts.

·         Assist with the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process, through collaboration with various departmental stakeholders.

·         Prepare quarterly and annual audit committee documents and presentations.

·         Lead the tax reporting process, by working effectively with external third-party providers and providing support for corporate tax preparation.

·         Coach and develop members of the accounting team through collaboration and effective feedback on an ongoing basis.

·         Lead the monthly and quarterly finance review meetings, understanding and explaining entity-level results, including comparisons to targets.

·         Ensure that internal controls over financial reporting are operating effectively. Assist in the design and implementation of features and procedures to enhance the finance team’s workflow, including systems implementations and other special projects.

·         Actively participate in and lead sections of new ERP implementation project (NetSuite), guiding stakeholders and accounting team through project milestones and strive to become subject matter expert on the new ERP.

·         Perform various ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required to support the finance team and senior management.

·         Act as the key liaison with the Company’s external auditors during the year-end audit.

·         Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

YOU HAVE:

·         Recognized accounting designation (CPA,CA) with 5+ years of overall finance experience. Financial reporting, tax and financial planning experience is considered an asset.

·         Ability to manage competing deadlines with a high degree of responsiveness, prioritizing and managing tasks effectively to ensure timely completion of deliverables.

·         Proven ability to manage change and guide teams through system transformations. ERP implementation experience is considered an asset.

·         Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

·         Continuous improvement and growth mindset, looking for solutions to optimize and streamline finance processes and educating various stakeholders.

·      Experience with NetSuite, Quickbooks, and Great Plains is considered an asset.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  

·         A well-rounded personality with diverse interests, hobbies and pursuits.
