Job Title: Senior Calibration Technician (Process Instrumentation)
Location: Durham, NC
Job Type: Full-Time, (40-hour workweek)

Duration of Time: 6-month minimum with high probability of becoming full-time

Job Summary:
We are seeking (2) experienced Senior Calibration Technicians to support process instrumentation and calibrations. The ideal candidates will have a minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in process instrumentation calibration and be able to manage the project independently with minimal training or direction. Proficiency in ProCal and CMMS systems is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform calibrations on various process instruments including, but not limited to:
    • Temperature sensors
    • Flow meters
    • Oxygen (O2) sensors
    • Carbon dioxide (CO2) sensors
    • Revolutions per minute (RPM) sensors
  • Ensure all calibrations are carried out in accordance with industry standards and site procedures.
  • Use and maintain calibration management software (ProCal preferred) for recording and tracking all calibration activities.
  • Interface with the site’s computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to ensure all calibration data is properly logged and accessible.
  • Troubleshoot and repair instruments as necessary to ensure optimal performance.
  • Communicate and collaborate with site personnel to ensure all calibration tasks align with project timelines and operational needs.
  • Work independently with little to no supervision or training.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in process instrumentation calibration.
  • Expertise in calibrating temperature, flow meters, O2 sensors, CO2 sensors, RPMs, and other process instruments.
  • Familiarity with ProCal calibration software (highly preferred).
  • Experience with CMMS systems for logging calibration activities.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage calibration tasks with minimal oversight.

Desired Skills:

  • Proficiency in ProCal calibration management software.
  • Strong understanding of CMMS systems for managing calibration data.
