Who are you?
You have previous accounting experience in a retirement services facility or healthcare organization. You possess technical competence in accounting functions, financial statements, and reporting procedures. You understand fund accounting and the necessity of maintaining the integrity of funds. You are knowledgeable about accounting requirements for cost centers (Medicare – Medicaid) in the healthcare field. You follow through on specific projects to ensure their timely and proper completion.
As the Senior Accountant, you will:
· Be responsible for full-cycle accounting
· Enter bank deposits, checks, bills, vendor payments, journal entries
· Reconcile credit card, bank accounts, and liability accounts monthly
· Reconcile vendor statements and manage vendor balances
· Communicate with residents regarding billing questions
· Prepare, analyze, correct, and produce financial statements
· Handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion and integrity
Qualifications:
· Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as an accountant. Excellent understanding of accounting and bookkeeping best practices (GAAP).
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or other related field.
· License or Certification: CPA is preferred, but not required.
