Position Overview:

With over 25 years of experience, Choice Miami, FL location offers world-class insurance advisory, research, planning, and development programs that reduce risk and costs in personal lines, business insurance, private clients, and specialty lines.

The Insurance Account Manager is critical in supporting the account executive and the agency, which manages and nurtures customer relationships and acts as the primary point of contact between clients and the insurance company. They handle inquiries, policy changes, and claims processing while identifying opportunities for new business and renewals. Day-to-day liaison between the Account Executive and reports to the AE. In-depth knowledge of various insurance products and coverage types, and more importantly, in the Florida property marketplace. Must have at least 5 years’ experience in a Florida Commercial Insurance Agency. 10 years preferably.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Along with the Account Executive, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, including insurance brokers, agents, and individual customers.
  • Service and Support:
  • Providing excellent customer service by responding to inquiries, explaining policies, and assisting with claims as directed by AE and clients.
  • Policy Management:
  • Processing policy changes, renewals, and cancellations.
  • Supporting Account Executive with Sales and Business Development:
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, and working to retain existing clients as delegated by AE and the Producer.
  • Claims Processing:
  • Assisting clients with the claims process, gathering information, and communicating with adjusters.
  • Staying Up-to-Date:
  • Keeping informed about new products, market conditions, and industry regulations.
  • Collaboration:
  • Working with internal teams, such as underwriters, to ensure seamless service delivery.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4-40 Resident Consumer Representative license, 2-20 General Lines Property & Casualty Agent license preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sales and business development skills.
  • Technical knowledge of insurance products and policies.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Licensing as an insurance agent (depending on the specific role and location).

Agency Management Systems:

  • Prior Experience with EPIC and HawkSoft Agency Management Systems
  • Proficient in Excel – Schedules (start to finish)
  • Proficient in Word
  • Proficient with Outlook
