West Coast Gardens, a premier garden center known for its commitment to excellence. We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable individual to join our team as the Seasonal Plants Lead. This role is pivotal in ensuring the success of our Seasonal Plants department, encompassing annuals, herbs, veggies, and the creation of captivating displays. • Product Knowledge: 

• Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of annual plants, herbs, and vegetables, staying abreast of industry trends. 

• Educate and assist customers in selecting the perfect seasonal plants for their needs. 

• Team Management: 

• Lead and inspire a small team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. 

• Delegate tasks efficiently, ensuring work is completed accurately and on time. 

• Conduct training sessions to enhance team knowledge and performance. 

• Operations: 

• Oversee the restocking of plants to maintain optimal inventory levels. 

• Implement effective plant care practices, including watering, pruning, and pest control. 

• Ensure the department maintains a clean and organized appearance. 

• Visual Merchandising: 

• Create visually impactful displays to enhance the customer shopping experience. 

• Collaborate with the creative team to develop eye-catching arrangements and thematic presentations. 

• Customer Service: 

• Provide exceptional customer service by offering expert advice and guidance. 

• Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally. 

Qualifications: 

• Proven experience in a similar role within the horticulture or garden center industry. 

• Strong knowledge of seasonal plants, including care requirements and growing conditions. 

• Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. 

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, working well in a fast-paced environment. 

• Strong communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
