Line Cook (In-Country H2B Visa Eligible)

We're looking for food-lover personalities to help with our elevated dinner program. This position is great for someone who has tons of experience and is looking for a rewarding opportunity, or someone who has limited kitchen experience and wants to gain more skills. This Line Cook position is a full-time position with some flexibility in days of the week and times of day.

Location: Higgins Beach Inn, Scarborough, ME
Hours: Full-time available
Compensation: $22.25 - $26.00 per hour
Seasonal Position: May through October
Start date: May 1st, 2026

Experience: Previous culinary experience is preferred

The Higgins Beach Inn seeks (2) fulltime, temporary Line Cooks for its worksite located in Scarborough, Maine, who will be responsible for preparing, seasoning, and cooking soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other food items in a restaurant. Will report directly to the Executive Chef at Higgins Beach Inn. Six (6) months of culinary experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club requested. Travel is not required. Daily transportation to and from worksite is not provided. On-the-job training is provided. Schedule: 40 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Example shifts: 6:00AM - 2:00PM, 8:00AM - 4:00pm, or 2:00pm - 10:00PM . Shift hours may vary. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Optional housing for a fee is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis for workers who are relocating to begin employment.  If used, total cost of housing will be deducted from paycheck. A refundable security deposit is required, to be deducted from first paycheck. Additional, optional benefits may be offered to worker, for worker’s sole benefit, including but not limited to parking and laundry service. If voluntarily elected by worker, employee costs/contributions for benefits will be deducted from paycheck. All deductions from paycheck required by law will be made.
