Seasonal Driver - Mardi Gras Recycle Center

Summary of Responsibilities: 

ArcGNO is seeking a seasonal driver who is secure in operating a large box truck that will be used to deliver and retrieve recycle bins to area businesses in both Orleans and Jefferson Parishes. This position is a labor intensive job that requires the ability to move rolling bins that, when full, can weigh up to 350 pounds. Driver will work with a second team member and there is a possibility that work will need to be done on Lundi Gras prior to the start of evening parades.     

Days & Hours: Monday - Friday; hours vary and may include early morning and late evening: 20-25 hrs a week. MAY BE REQUIRED TO WORK LUNDI GRAS 

Starting Pay: $11:00 per hour 

Essential Functions: 

1. The driver will be working at ArcGNO as well as all areas of the city where bins are placed

2. The driver will be part of a two-person crew working in the field

3. Ideally, the driver will have a thorough knowledge of the area both in Orleans and Jefferson Parishes, both East and West Banks as deliveries will be made to specific addresses, including a few downtown office buildings

4. Must be able to move large rolling recycle bins that, when full, can weigh up to 350 pounds.

5. Must be able to follow specific directions when delivering and picking up recycle bins, including some documentation completed at each stop

Required Qualifications: 

1. High school diploma preferred.  

2. Must have valid LA driver's license and auto insurance.
