The Intensive Education Academy (IEA) seeks a dedicated and exceptional School Psychologist for the 2025-2026 academic year. This full-time position reports directly to the Director of Education.

Qualifications - Requirements:
- CT State Certification in School Psychology (070)
- Master’s Degree in School Psychology
Responsibilities:
- Administer and interpret psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, emotional, and social development.
- Assess learning disabilities, emotional disorders, and behavioral issues.
- Provide recommendations for interventions and accommodations based on assessments.
- Provide social skills instruction and reinforcement in both formal (small-group) and informal (activity-based) settings
- Observe, collect data, and evaluate students’ progress towards achieving IEP goals and objectives
- Implement effective behavioral strategies to facilitate appropriate social interactions
- Collaborate with staff to modify and accommodate student needs for access to activities, field trips, and recreational opportunities
- Serve as a member of the IEP team and facilitate IEP meetings as required
- Promote student engagement, independence, and interdependence in learning to foster a positive learning community
- Demonstrate proficiency in technology and continually develop required skills
- Ensure compliance with CSDE directives for planning, programming, evaluations, FBAs, and BIPs in alignment with IEP and PPT requirements
- Attend and report at PPT meetings, IEP reviews, parent/teacher conferences, and team meetings to design programs and monitor progress
- Assist in emergencies and act as a contact with emergency services and outside therapists
- Collaborate with colleagues, including administrators, teachers, related service providers, and outside providers (with release), maintaining documentation of communications
- Co-teach, consult and collaborate with Special Educators, Special Subject Teachers (Art, Music, PE, Transition), and Related Services personnel to provide expertise on IEPs, BIPs, modifications, and accommodations
- Engage in continuous professional learning to impact instruction and student learning, and participate in ongoing consultation, supervision, and continuing education
