Sales Representative – New Orleans
Overall Purpose:
Dixie Brewery began in New Orleans in 1907. For the better part of the 20th century, Dixie Beer was a quintessential part of New Orleans culture and history. Dixie is back! Under new ownership and with a state-of-art production 100-bbl Huppmann brewery, Dixie is reinforcing its sales capabilities with the addition of Sales Representative, with a territory of downtown New Orleans/the CBD. This role will report directly to Dixie’s New Orleans Sales Manager(s).
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Solicit to on and off premise accounts within assigned territory
· Grow Dixie’s PODs and sales within retail (on- and off-premise)
· Expand Dixie’s customer base and increase placements
· Develop and execute on- and off- premise account strategies, as well as programming, in accordance with the overall sales strategy of Dixie Beer
· Develop in-depth competitive market knowledge and intelligence to create unique opportunities for Dixie placements and programs.
· Plan out, execute, and follow-up on KPIs assigned both internally and by our wholesaler
· Conduct on and off premise activations on a weekly basis, quantity to be assigned by New Orleans Sales Manager
· Take part in beer festivals, trade shows, and industry events within assigned territory on an as-needed basis
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Based in the New Orleans Area
· Sales Experience
· Be a trusted resource for distributor personnel and their sales team(s)
· Ability to work nights and weekends as needed
· 1+ years of sales experience in a beer/wine and spirits/distributor environment
· Have a valid driver’s license and reliable source of transportation
· Have excellent organization and communication skills
· Have physical ability to lift and move cases of beer frequently
· Have ability to maintain professionalism during and after the consumption of alcohol
· Comfortable with public speaking and possess excellent presentation skills
· Bachelor’s Degree
· Professional demeanor and superb organizational skills
