We’re looking for an active customer-focused team player with exceptional sales skills to be the next Sales Coordinator at our busy hotels. You’ll assist the Director of Sales in developing sales and marketing strategies that includes soliciting new and existing accounts: to meet and exceed revenue targets including group room and catering contract negotiations, inside & outside sales calls, on-site visits, sales tours, and community networking. This energetic leader will be able to enhance revenue by researching local market trends and competitive behavior to discover and close business leads.  Assist the front desk with group room check-ins when needed and update sales activity documentation weekly.  Must have valid driver’s license and working transportation.

Getting the Job Done:

·      Provide guests and team members with professional, efficient, courteous and genuine hospitality.

·      Anticipates guest’s needs and offers services prior to the guest asking.

·      Assist the Sales team with client event planning, set up and follow up.

·      Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with clients through effective and timely communication and fully understanding all of their needs and requirements for executing successful events.

·      Manage guest’s concerns appropriately and resolves issues to the guest’s satisfaction keeping business objectives in mind.

·      Has a full understanding of using a PMS system, the hotel’s room rates and types, amenities and local attractions and uses this knowledge to elevate the guest’s experience.

·      Ability to think out of the box and creatively problem solve.

·      Stay up on current trends for events and share insights with the sales team to elevate client events.

·      Support other departments as needed.

·      Learn the systems and reporting utilized by the sales department.

·      Be aware of the Brand Service Scores and support the GM to ensure the scores are maintained above average.

·      Attend all mandatory meetings and complete all training required.

Experience for Success:

·      High school diploma or equivalent; College degree preferred

·      2 years of experience in guest service, preferably in hospitality

·      Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; second language a plus

·      Strong computer skills, comfort in using Word, Excel and Power Point
