Summary of the Role and Responsibilities: This role combines a passion for event management with a talent for sales, networking, and client relationship-building.

In addition, the Sales and Event Associate will be relied upon to model our core value of servant leadership and to teach the VIVÂMEE Virtues of Joy, Humility, and Ministry. This role will have a prominent management role within Kent and will have opportunities to participate in training at other VIVÂMEE properties as required.

Responsibilities:

Sales & Lead Management:

· Field 25% of all inbound wedding/event leads for Kent and manages the pipeline.

· Conduct introductory phone calls and schedule onsite or virtual tours for current wedding sales managers.

· Promote and portray the VIVÂMEE Values in all guest interactions.

· Determine availability of event space, accommodations, and F&B services.

· Sell room blocks and customized resort experiences based on client needs.

· Attend regional bridal shows and networking events to generate new leads.

· Maintain accurate records in the CRM and Catering systems.

Event Coordination & Execution:

· Serve as lead event manager for a minimum of five events at Kent through September.

· Work closely with the Banquet Department to gain hands-on operational knowledge.

· Coordinate all event details and transitions from sales to execution.

· Prepare Event Orders (BEOs) and communicate all updates to stakeholders.

· Ensure smooth execution day-of, overseeing both client satisfaction and team coordination.

· Follow up post-event with thank-you emails and guest feedback requests/reviews.

Team Collaboration & Administration:

· Partner with Sales Managers to avoid double bookings and maximize group sales.

· Actively participate in weekly BEO Meetings.

· Train and mentor newer team members as needed.

· Maintain vendor relationships and coordinate promotional bridal events.

· Support the ongoing refinement of SOPs and internal processes.

· Stay current on industry trends and bring fresh ideas to the team.

Job Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree preferred

● Minimum of 2 years catering sales experience preferred

● Enthusiasm for the company and its growth potential, Sharp negotiation and networking skills, and Problem-solving skills.

● Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

● Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and problem solving skills.

● Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

● Knowledge of Hospitality industry trends and best practices.

● Familiarity with relevant software for event planning and management.

● Proven record of sales growth

● Experience in customer service, marketing, or a sales-related field

● Strong knowledge of business and sales growth techniques

● Exceptional project management skills

● Experience in managing sales or marketing teams

● Sharp negotiation and networking skills

● Organizational skills
