FUNCTION: The Security Manager is responsible for leading and managing a 24-hour security operation that ensures the safety and security of all guests, team members, and property assets throughout the Bavarian Inn Lodge. With 360 guest rooms, a large conference center, the Bavarian Blast Waterpark, Family Fun Center, and multiple food and beverage outlets—including the Lorelei Lounge, Oma's Restaurant, Emily's Eis, and Chef Willy's, Spritz and Fritz Smoothing bar and the Bootlegger Bar—this position demands strong leadership, organization, and communication skills. The Security Manager supervises a dedicated security team and works closely with the Night Audit and MOD (Manager on Duty) departments to maintain a consistent, proactive safety presence at all times.

The Security Manager will also work with the IT Department to oversee the installation, monitoring, and maintenance of all security camera systems throughout the property. They are responsible for managing, issuing, and maintaining the facility's master key supply; ensuring secure access control standards are met. Additionally, the Security Manager oversees all radio communications for the property, including the purchasing, distribution, maintenance, and replacement of walkie-talkie units for hotel operations.

In addition to onsite responsibilities, the Security Manager may also assist in providing security support for Frankenmuth festivals and other citywide events throughout the year, helping to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for both hotel guests and the local community.

Hours: Full time: 40-45 Hours/Week.  Must be available to work weekends, weekdays and holidays.

Earliest Shift: 6am     Latest Shift 11:30pm and any variety of shifts between these hours.  For special events overnight shifts will be required.

Basic Qualifications:

 3+ years of experience in hotel, resort, or facility security; supervisory or management experience required.

 First Aid, CPR, and AED certified (Lodge will provided necessary training if needed).

 Strong leadership and team-building skills.

 Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities.

 Comfortable handling high-pressure situations with professionalism and composure.

 Knowledge of emergency response protocols and experience working with local law enforcement preferred.

 Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods.

 Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors, including inclement weather.

 Role requires availability for weekends, evenings, and holidays.
