JOB SUMMARY
- The Safety Director is responsible for all safety related matters. They will promote and uphold our culture of safety.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Facilitate compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations such as OSHA and the FMCSA and our insurance carriers, customers, and contractors.
- Provide training for field team members such as OSHA 10 & 30 hour programs, CPR, First Aid & AED, Fork Lift, Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection, etc.
- Conduct New Hire Safety Orientation and ensure they receive their PPE.
- Participate in site visits as required by the customer, General Contractor, Insurance Carrier, etc.
- Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports for senior management which outline the results of the inspection, short-comings, positive observations, action taken/recommended.

TRAVEL
- Travel will be required to Fidelity Building Services Group locations, as needed. May also include attendance at off-site events, conferences, and trade shows.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
- The team member must be available 8 hours a day, and must work 40 hours each week, Monday through Friday. The start times may vary. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

- This job operates in both a professional office and field environment.

- The team member is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The team member is frequently required to stand; walk; handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. They must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
- The team member may be required to climb ladders or access rooftops through ladder-hatches.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school degree or equivalent necessary, Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in a risk, safety, or claims related position is preferred.
- Combination of education and experience is preferred.
- Union experience preferred.
- Ability to speak Spanish is preferred.
