Safety & Compliance Specialist
The Safety and Compliance Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This person will provide assistance to the Safety Department related to health and safety and is responsible for maintaining all safety records; assist in monitoring, collecting and disposition of hazardous materials and procurement of safety equipment and supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety and Compliance:
- Assist Safety Managers with health and safety initiatives.
- Maintain accurate safety records and documentation.
- Monitor, collect, and dispose of hazardous materials.
- Procure safety equipment and supplies.
- Coordinate employee drug and alcohol testing.
- Onsite Support:
- Assist with customer requirements and inquiries.
- Support employee training and credentialing.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Adhere to industry standards (ISO 17025, OSHA, DOT).
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Previous administrative and clerical experience
- OSHA 30-hour General Industry certification or related safety certification (preferred)
