Are you passionate about workplace safety and ready to make a real impact? RFNOW Inc. is looking for a proactive and dedicated Safety Advisor to join our team! In this role, you'll help drive a strong safety culture by supporting, promoting, and ensuring compliance with our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and regulatory requirements. You'll work closely with field crews, management, and subcontractors to foster a safe work environment through inspections, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Conducting regular field inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
  • Coaching crews and subcontractors on best safety practices and safe work procedures.
  • Leading safety meetings, toolbox talks, and tailgate meetings.
  • Investigating incidents, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Delivering engaging safety training, including orientations for new hires and contractors.
  • Maintaining detailed records of safety inspections, incidents, training, and corrective actions.
  • Supporting the ongoing development of our Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Monitoring site-specific safety and emergency plans.
  • Assisting with regulatory compliance and reporting (WSH and other legislation).
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure safety standards are met.
  • Supporting contractor pre-qualification and onboarding processes.

What You Bring:

  • A certificate or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (preferred).
  • 2–5 years of field safety experience in construction, utilities, telecom, or a similar field.
  • Familiarity with Manitoba and Saskatchewan WSH legislation.
  • National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) designation or working toward one (asset).
  • First Aid, CPR, and WHMIS certifications.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and work in outdoor environments.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
