ROOM ATTENDANT
Hotel Room Attendants are responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms and guest areas to ensure a comfortable, safe, and welcoming environment. Duties include cleaning, restocking supplies, reporting maintenance issues, and delivering excellent guest service.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
Clean and service guest rooms: make beds, dust, vacuum, mop, scrub, disinfect, and restock amenities.
Handle linens: replace towels, manage laundry, and maintain linen carts.
Inspect rooms for maintenance needs and report issues promptly.
Follow safety procedures, including proper chemical handling and OSHA/MSDS standards.
Process lost‑and‑found items according to hotel policy.
Respond to guest requests courteously and efficiently.
Maintain carts, equipment, and storage areas in clean, organized condition.
🎓 Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not always required).
Previous housekeeping experience preferred; luxury or hotel experience is a plus.
Ability to understand and communicate in English.
Strong attention to detail and guest‑service orientation.
💪 Physical Requirements
Frequent bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, kneeling, and standing for long periods.
Ability to lift 20–75 lbs depending on property requirements.
Ability to work with cleaning chemicals safely.
🕒 Work Schedule
Must be flexible to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
