What you will be doing:

  • Complete monthly admission/float schedule
  • Oversee/manage Resource Center staff scheduling
  • Approve PTO and coordinate coverage for PTO/absences
  • Participate in the interview process
  • Coordinate/oversee orientation for new hires
  • Complete initial and annual supervisory visit for all field staff
  • Participate in the annual reviews of staff
  • Provide coaching and /or disciplinary action as needed
  • Document patient/family complaints and work toward resolution
  • Coordinate/facilitate departmental meetings/education
  • Access/oversee various referral websites for patient information/updates
  • Be the backup for Crisis Care Team Lead in their absence
  • Routine documentation review to assess appropriateness of services
  • Participate in direct care (e.g. meet/evaluate/admit patients in various settings
  • Review/approve time sheets
  • Provide oversight for incoming calls related to customer’s needs; and overseeing the delivery of customer service satisfaction
  • Provide support/guidance to the team in relationship to the referral process.

A successful candidate will possess:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred
  • Registered Nurse with current Ohio license
  • Clinical experience, preferably in hospice, homecare, oncology, gerontology, or surgical nursing
  • 2 years of management experience or demonstrated leadership competency
  • CHPN Certification within 2 years
  • CPR Certified
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • State Minimum Auto Coverage
  • Competency in information technology: Experience with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR), Navigating Windows, Word, E-mail, and other programs which may assist with the operation and communication of the organization.

Expected Hours of Work:

This position operates in a healthcare environment open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Generally scheduled Monday through Friday. Required to fulfill shifts for after-hours scheduling (evenings), weekends and holidays.

Work Environment:

This position operates in healthcare settings found in personal homes, nursing facilities and hospitals. May encounter exposure to blood/body fluids.

Travel:

Daily travel is required for this position. Travel may be during daytime, nighttime or inclement weather.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that might be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, twisting, and stooping all day. The employee must frequently lift or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
