We are seeking a Evening RN Supervisor.

We provide the highest quality of care for the Douglasville senior community with a commitment to proudly serve our community's long-term care and rehabilitation needs. We offer services such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and dementia/Alzheimer's care. Our goal is to provide this dignified care to all of our residents in a well-maintained, home-like environment. This level of care would not be possible without our compassionate and focused staff working with residents, families, and physicians to create individualized and effective care and treatment plans.

A brief description of RN Supervisor 

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the Shift Supervisor/ Relief Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the standards of nursing care and practices within the Facility to meet the physical, psychosocial, and rehabilitation needs of the residents.

  • Perform various duties to provide quality nursing care to residents to maintain or attain the highest practical level of functioning and to coordinate total nursing care for the residents.
  • Makes daily rounds in areas of nursing care under his/her supervision, visiting each unit to evaluate overall unit performance, and to receive comments relating to the residents needs and problems, and implement necessary changes.
  • Verifies the coordination of nursing care with other departments and disciplines within the Facility to best meet resident care objectives.
  • Establishes and maintains resident care systems per standardized procedure that are consistent throughout the Facility.


Qualifications

Education/Training: Maintains a current, valid License as a registered professional nurse in good standing. Must have current CPR certification. A.D.A ((Americans with Disabilities Act)(as amended)) REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to bend, stoop, push, pull, and walk and stand for most of the working day. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to provide hands-on care to residents as well as to operate standard office machines such as fax, telephone, etc. Requires normal range of hearing and vision. Must be free from communicable diseases that pose a "direct threat" to the health or safety of others and which cannot be eliminated by a reasonable accommodation. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, and transfer and transport residents. Must be able to carry and transport supplies. Must be able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment physical health examination as a condition of employment. Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation(s).

Skill(s): Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; knowledge of drug interactions, side effects, and incompatibilities; decision-making skill; proficient assessment skills; safety techniques; basic computer skills; able to operate various medical and office equipment, auditory and visual skills. Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required.
