Bear Creek Nursing & Rehab Center is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Nurse to serve as our Risk Manager and Unit Manager. This dual-role position plays a critical part in overseeing the facility’s risk management and quality assurance programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting optimal outcomes for our residents.
Position Summary:
The RN Risk Manager / Unit Manager is responsible for leading and implementing the facility-wide Risk Management and Quality Assurance program. This includes identifying and analyzing potential risks, developing corrective actions, tracking and trending data, and promoting resident safety and compliance with state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

Implement and monitor the risk management program across the facility

Collect, analyze, and report data on incidents, trends, and quality metrics

Lead and coordinate risk management and quality assurance committees

Support clinical teams with regulatory compliance, investigations, and reporting

Develop and present educational materials to staff on risk prevention

Participate in on-call duties and assist during weekends and holidays as needed
Qualifications:

Active RN license in the state of Florida
-
Advanced knowledge of risk management practices and regulatory compliance in skilled nursing facilities

Experience in data collection, analysis, and report presentation

Strong understanding of abuse, neglect, exploitation, and related regulatory reporting requirements

Excellent verbal, written, and analytical communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office and clinical software systems

Valid CPR certification (must be maintained throughout employment)

Detail-oriented with excellent organization and follow-through skills

Able to lead with professionalism, tact, and a team-first attitude

Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing environments

Leadership or management experience within a healthcare setting
