Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To assure the delivery of quality nursing care to patients in their place of residence.
- PRN position with weekend/on call rotation
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Carry out Physician’s Plan of Treatment and report changes as necessary
- Consult with physician regarding disease and symptom management needs
- Instruct and supervise the patient and/or the responsible person in meeting patient care needs
- Demonstrate the ability to observe, record and report needs/ concerns and coordinate the care of the patient while maintaining a constructive relationship with the patient and caregivers
- Provide supervisory visits for Certified Nurse Aides as per Medicare guidelines
- Participate in standby coverage to provide 24 hour RN availability to Home Health clients, will be on call a minimum of once a week and will be required to participate in call rotation on weekends, and holidays
- Develop a schedule for patient care and maintain a schedule that follows physician orders
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Registered Nurse license through the MS State Board of Nursing
- Prior Home Health experience is preferred
