The Wachusett Respiratory Care Unit at Holden Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center has openings, and we want you to be a part of our incredible team!

As a Nurse on our Respiratory Care Unit, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch care to our patients. The Respiratory Unit is a specialty unit providing care to patients with ALS, Traumatic Brain Injury and Ventilator Dependency. The desired candidate will have a passion for caring for residents needing 24-hour critical care in a long term care environment. This center is part of Oriol Health Care, a family owned and operated company, providing outstanding care for more than 50 years.

Full time and part time shifts available:

6:45 am - 7:15 pm

6:45 pm - 7:15 am

6:45 pm - 11:15 pm


Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' health needs and develop and implement care plans

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the appropriate staff member

  • Communicate with patients and families to provide education and support

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure continuity of treatment

  • Document patients' progress and outcomes using electronic medical records

  • Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in nursing

  • Participate in professional development opportunities to maintain and improve skills

  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  •  Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Valid MA RN or LPN nursing License

  • 1 year of experience is preferred but will consider a new graduate nurse. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
