IMC is currently hiring a Registered Nurse - Inpatient Surgery, who under the general supervision of the Unit Director and with the authority of the Chief Nursing Officer, will apply nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation) in caring for patients.  Effectively interact with patient, significant others, and other heath team members.  Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psycho/social, education, safety and related criteria for the newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric population.

EDUCATION:

• Graduate of state approved School of Nursing.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Current licenses as a RN in the state of Louisiana.

TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:

• Previous experience preferred, but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assesses, collaborates and coordinates in planning of patient’s discharge needs and readiness for discharge.
• Participates in departmental and hospital improvement plan.

• Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of patient and organizational data.
