Compensation: $48.26-$60.22/hr; DOE, DOQ

Supervision: Inpatient and Outpatient clinical and support staff

· 403(b) Thrift Savings Plan with the HL7N maximum pension contribution of 4%, completed 12 months of employment (1000 hrs.) and successful performance evaluation rating.

· Healing Lodge employment may qualify for the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program as well as loan repayment through Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)

The Healing Lodge of the Seven Nations is a 24/7 youth residential treatment facility which provides a safe and caring healing environment for adolescents in need. Located on 51 acres, our wellness program provides a peaceful environment for treatment balanced in traditional, cultural and spiritual values and practices. These values and practices foster respect, honesty, generosity, strong cultural identification and hope for positive life changes. The Healing Lodge treatment program integrates traditional, spiritual and cultural values with chemical dependency and mental health counseling to create a holistic approach toward healing. Residents include both Native American and non-Native from all areas of the country.

About the Position

The agency established a new outpatient primary care health clinic. The agency is seeking a dedicated and committed medical clinic manager supervised by the Health Department Director. The successful candidate oversees the daily administration of a multi-disciplinary family focused primary care clinic. The duties include implementation of procedures to optimize patient care, supervision of personnel and management of the budget. A successful candidate exhibits exceptional managerial ability, provides supportive liaise with patients, healthcare professionals and coordination of patient care plans. The

Clinic Manager must possess and exhibit excellent organization and communication skills in order to ensure the clinic runs smoothly. COVID vaccinations and Boosters are required for 24/7 youth residential treatment center environment with up to 80 employee healthcare professionals and support staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

1. Works closely with the Health Department Director and the Medical Director in the daily management of the clinic operations.

2. Collaborate with Medical Director on overseeing the development, implementation and enforcement of policies, procedures, operational systems, and other processes within the clinic.

3. Manages and coordinates the clinic schedule including ensuring appropriate staffing ratios, clinic hours, patient load leveling and accurate provider schedules, in conjunction with the front desk staff.

4. Maximize clinic capacity, efficiency and revenue cycle, and stay informed on clinic best practices and current health information trends to include any State/Federal health clinic regulations.

5. Manage staff including overseeing the entire employment cycle including hiring and selection, orientation, training and development, feedback and coaching, performance management, compensation, employee relations, performance improvement and separations.

6. Ensure that all clinical operation e-manuals and performance evaluation tools are up to date and that evaluations occur annually (or more frequently if indicated) including patient experience surveys, wait time studies, etc.

7. Be an Electronic Medical Records system super-user and support clinic staff to effectively utilize the Electronic Health Records System (EHS), including comprehensive knowledge of all components of the system and training staff on using the system.

8. Communicate effectively and supportively with staff, providers and clients resolving any issues in a timely manner.

9. Maintain current skills & knowledge of professional licensing and scope of practice requirements for clinical staff, ensuring that staff maintain required licenses and credentials standards.

10. Oversee appropriate actions related to safety and emergency preparedness, and resolve any patient concerns and clinic operational issues, in a timely manner.

11. Support compliance with all state and federal laws related to clinical operation, customer/ patient services, HIPAA guidelines and accreditation practice requirements.

12. Oversee supply inventory, order stock and maintain necessary material to ensure supplies at the required standard operating levels.

13. Oversee the purchasing, maintenance and repair of clinic facility and equipment.

14. Manage the clinics budget, medical billing system and workload assignments.

15. Provide individual and group education classes on health topics for the delivery of optimal patient care.

16. As a Registered Nurse provide, at least 25% of your time to the provision of nursing care, or as needed to serve the patient needs.

17. As the Senior Nurse, ensure nursing care meets WA state’s clinical and administrative required regulations and Accreditation standards.

18. Overseeing the implementation and administration of an Electronic Health Records ensuring efficient and effective clinic flow.

19. Consistently work to create an efficient system of operations, the provision of high quality of patient-centered care designed to meet the needs of the patients seeking healthcare services.

Position Requirements

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has direct supervisory responsibilities over medical and clinic support staff both inpatient and outpatient (Nursing, medical assistants, contracted medical provider personnel)

Education

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Nursing.

· Bachelor’s Degree or greater degree from an accredited University in Public Health Administration or related field.

· Possess an active State of Washington License as a Registered Nurse free of any claims

Experience

· At least five years in managing a outpatient medical clinic preferably within a community based, non-profit health clinic.

· Current License as a Registered Nurse with the State of Washington.

· Family and Adolescent primary health care experience preferred.
