Job Summary:
The RevGuard Provider Liaison oversees facility-facing RevGuard operations and coordinates medical records requests for assigned facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of RevGuard deliverables, leading facility onboarding efforts, and serving as the primary escalation point related to RevGuard/Clinical documentation issues. The RevGuard Provider Liaison also acts as a key liaison between CodeMax and partner facilities, supporting operational alignment, documentation quality, and continuous process improvement.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Facility Partnership & Liaison Leadership
- Serve as the primary liaison between CodeMax RevGuard and assigned facilities, building strong partnerships through clear communication, onboarding support, and ongoing guidance.
- Act as the main point of contact for RevGuard workflows, documentation requirements, and operational clarifications while supporting facility success through proactive engagement.
Documentation Oversight & Compliance Excellence
- Oversee medical records and documentation for assigned facilities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
- Perform secondary reviews of audits/denials and submitted records, validate required forms (including EMR updates such as AOB uploads), and identify documentation gaps or risks.
- Ensure RevGuard standards, policies, and workflows are consistently applied across all facilities.
Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
- Identify recurring errors, documentation trends, and compliance concerns, collaborating closely with Team Leads to implement corrective actions and coaching strategies.
- Support ongoing process improvement by refining guidelines, workflows, and review standards to enhance quality, efficiency, and consistency.
Operational Coordination & Escalation Management
- Lead facility onboarding activities, including coordination, system setup, and development or approval of facility-specific RevGuard guidelines.
- Review escalations related to service issues, documentation gaps, or facility responsiveness, determine next steps, and escalate critical operational or compliance risks to leadership when necessary.
Cross-Team Alignment & Strategic Support
- Partner with Team Leads to align priorities, balance workloads, and maintain quality expectations.
- Provide oversight on documentation readiness, audit outcomes, and facility engagement while supporting broader RevGuard objectives through collaboration, accountability, and proactive problem-solving.
- Perform, assist with and/or lead other RCM/RevGaurd and/or administrative tasks as assigned.

- Experience working with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., KIPU or similar platforms).
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with behavioral health and/or substance use disorder (SUD) facilities strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with ASAM Criteria (3rd and/or 4th Edition) is a plus.
- Experience working with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., KIPU or similar platforms).
- Prior experience collaborating with facilities, clinicians, or account managers in a healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of medical necessity documentation and audit readiness.
- Experience handling escalations, follow-ups, and time-sensitive requests.
- Ability to interpret and explain documentation requirements to non-clinical staff
