Retail/Pricing Clerk
HOURS:
PART TIME – Average of 16 - 36 hours per week; average of 5 days per week.
WORK SHIFTS: Earliest shift: 8:00 a.m. Latest shift: 8:00 p.m.
*Must be available to work a variety of shifts; holidays, weekdays, weekends, mornings and evenings.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Works under the supervision of the Purchasing Manager and Store Management. Responsible for correctly receiving and properly storing food and merchandise upon delivery; properly rotates food into inventory; verifies accuracy of deliveries against invoices and quality specifications; spot checks temperature of perishable food upon delivery; maintains clean and organized storage areas, walk-ins and retail areas in accordance to the local health department guidelines; assists with the physical inventories and pricing of products and supplies; assists with daily merchandise restocking; assists with completion of the cleaning checklist as well as other duties of a retail sales associate as assigned or needed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to stand at all times.
Has the ability to lift items for the majority of the day and up to 50 pounds at one time.
Has knowledge of food service sanitation as it relates to receiving, storage and producing food items.
Ability to work in hot and cold conditions both consistently and rotationally.
Can read and comprehend receiving and packing slips to verify accuracy.
Has good math skills and knows units of measurements to verify accuracy of orders.
Must possess a high degree of cleanliness.
Should possess good communication and organizational skills.
