As a Registered Practical Nurse with WeeCare, you will do more than provide medical care according to each client’s care plan. You will offer peace of mind, comfort, and become a trusted extension of the client’s family.
Position
Part-time Registered Practical Nurse in Oshawa, ON in our Adult complex care division every Saturday or Sunday 0800-1600 or 0900-1700 (flexibility with day and time).
Please note: If you cannot commit to the weekly schedule, we will not be able to accept your application.
General Duties (specific duties may vary based on individual client needs)
- Administer and document medications as prescribed, following CNO medication administration standards
- Monitor and maintain the safekeeping of drugs and narcotics
- Maintain client's records and required documentation in accordance with CNO standards
- Enteral feeds
- Seizure management support
- Assist the client with personal care, hygiene, and activities of daily living
- Observe and report on changes in clients condition to guardian and WeeCare
- Assist with ambulation, mobilization, transferring, and adaptive aids
- Demonstrate understanding of client’s needs and maximize abilities
- Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and psychological support to the client/guardian
- Respond to client/guardian concerns and ensure appropriate action is taken
- Assist in maintaining a safe and cleanly environment, including client’s equipment and belongings
- Notify supervisor of any concerns impacting client’s safety, incidents, and accidents
- Complete all other tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Licensed and in good standing with the CNO
- Current BLS certification
- Vulnerable Sector Check within the past 6 months
- Professional Liability Insurance

- Every Saturday or Sunday
- 0800-1600 or 0900-1700
- Day shift
- 8 hour shift
