Registered Nurse - RN
JOB SUMMARY:
The primary purpose of your position is to provide direct nursing care to the residents and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by licensed practical nurses and nursing assistants.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administrative Functions
- Organize and assign all jobs to be done during a tour of duty so that the workload is evenly distributed among nursing personnel based on staff qualifications, the size of the facility, and its physical layout.
- Periodically review department policies, procedures, and job descriptions and make recommendations for revisions.
- Implement established policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all nursing personnel assigned to you comply with the written policies and procedures established by this facility.
- Meet with your assigned nursing staff and support personnel to plan your shift's appropriate services, programs, and activities.
- Cooperate with other resident services when coordinating nursing services to ensure the resident’s care plans are followed.
- Participate in developing, maintaining, and implementing the facility’s quality assurance program.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education
- Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or graduate from an approved school of professional nursing.
Experience
- A minimum of one year’s nursing experience required.
- Supervisory experience with Nursing Assistants.
