Central Interior Native Health Society (CINHS) is a vibrant urban Indigenous Integrated Health Team Centre and educational facility situated on Lheidli T'enneh territory in Prince George, BC. The Clinic’s inter-disciplinary team provides trauma-informed and culturally safe, medical and psychosocial services to some of the most vulnerable members of our community.

 

The  Casual - Registered Nurse (RN) at CINHS, you will play a vital role in delivering primary health care services to our diverse patient population. You will work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality, holistic, and culturally responsive care that aligns with the principles of trauma-informed practice and Indigenous health equity.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessments, treatments, and interventions within the RN scope of practice
  • Deliver culturally safe, trauma-informed, and patient-centered care to a diverse population, including Indigenous clients with complex health needs
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards
  • Advocate for clients and work to reduce barriers to care by addressing social determinants of health
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with a valid BCCNM license in good standing.
  • Strong understanding of Indigenous health and wellness, including impacts of historical and intergenerational trauma.
  • Commitment to providing trauma-informed, harm reduction, and culturally safe care
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team and adapt to dynamic healthcare environment
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
  • Electronic medical records experience such as MOIS (an asset)
  • Experience in primary care, community health, or working with vulnerable populations (an asset)
