Regional Staffing Coordinator – Skilled Nursing Facilities (Palm Beach, FL Region)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Regional Staffing Coordinator to support staffing operations across skilled nursing facilities in Palm Beach County, Florida. In this role, you will manage schedules, coordinate float pools, work with staffing agencies, and ensure consistent staffing coverage in compliance with Florida AHCA and CMS requirements.
Responsibilities:
Scheduling & Coverage
- Create and manage staffing schedules across multiple skilled nursing facilities
- Ensure staffing meets Florida’s 3.6 hours per resident per day requirement
- Respond to last-minute call-outs and adjust coverage as needed
Compliance & Reporting
- Monitor and document staffing ratios daily
- Maintain up-to-date records for audits and inspections
- Analyze overtime and agency use; recommend cost-effective strategies
Agency & Float Pool Coordination
- Serve as liaison to contracted staffing agencies
- Develop and manage an internal float pool to reduce reliance on external staffing
Hiring Support
- Work with HR and facility leaders to identify staffing needs
- Assist in onboarding and training coordination for new hires
Communication & Crisis Management
- Communicate regularly with facility administrators and nursing leaders
- Lead emergency staffing during hurricanes or other regional events
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field (required)
- 3+ years of staffing or scheduling experience in healthcare or long-term care (required)
- Knowledge of Florida SNF staffing regulations (preferred)
- Experience with scheduling software such as SmartLinx, Kronos, or OnShift
Skills
- Strong understanding of AHCA and CMS staffing standards
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage staffing needs across multiple locations
Travel Requirements
- Travel to facilities across Palm Beach County (30%–50%)
- Occasional availability required during evenings, weekends, or holidays in emergency situations
