Regional Sales Coordinator

As a Regional Hotel Sales Coordinator, your primary role will be to support sales and revenue for a 10 hotels in the portfolio. Here are the key responsibilities and qualifications for the position: 

 

Key Responsibilities 

    • Strong focus and experience in building existing business and in new business development.
    • Solicit new business via outside sales calls/area blitzes, prospecting calls, CVB and brand lead generation as well as develop internet research and respond to competitor’s reader boards to increase revenues and grow client base.
    • Increase Revenue in Rooms as well as Food and Beverage of existing LNR Accounts.
    • Maintain/Nurture relationships with existing clients via phone calls for follow up and solicitation along with outside sales calls.
    • High level of focus on exceeding client service expectations.
    • Work in tandem with General Manager and Regional Director of Sales Team to achieve Monthly Revenue Goals set by the management team.
    • Review Group Pick Up report to see pace to booking as well as to touch base and inform the client as to the reservation flow.
    • Prepare weekly reports as needed.
    • Review Monthly financials to determine and anticipate need months and monitor guestroom booking pace vs. Budget.
    • Attend Trade shows, chamber events and meetings as designated by Regional Director of Sales.
    • Answer phones and speak with walk-in guests with an upbeat and engaging energy.
    • Conduct tours of the hotel and meeting space and expose clients to facilities and services; work to book qualified potential clients.
    • Negotiate room rates and other hotel services. Advise hotel management of booked groups and negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and vendors with the assistance of the Senior Hotel Management team. In addition, the Sales Coordinator must assist the client in planning - coordinating and assuring that all requirements are communicated and completed to the clients’ specifications.
    • “Hold hands” with groups and group contacts from the first introduction until after the group departs. The #1 point of contact for groups.
    • Consistently and effectively communicate with all team members. The Sales Coordinator is the liaison between other departments and clients. Collaboration with other departments is an important responsibility for sales coordinators in order to ensure guests have a seamless experience; from the first call they make to the hotel, to the end of their event. The Sales Coordinator must also work closely with the Sales team to assess the progress of the department and develop Sales strategy accordingly.
    • Notify/coordinate customer specifications with other departments and quickly and efficiently respond to customer issues, comments and problems to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales prospects.
    • Maintain accurate, organized and legible records and files.
    • Reach individual booking revenue goals by selling, negotiating, prospecting and marketing the hotel on all social media channels. The Sales Coordinator must also complete the contracts, proposals, rate agreements, prepare the appropriate paperwork, coordinate with the appropriate areas in the hotel, and resolve any issues, complaints and problems to ensure quality product delivery and customer satisfaction.
    • Completion of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual property specific tasks.
    • Responsibility for all On Property Sales administrative tasks, including sales activity tracking, multi-department communication, lead systems management, and reporting required of hotel leadership and ownership.
    • Provide a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
    • All other duties as assigned/required.

 

Qualifications 

  • Experience: Experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality industry. 

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Interpersonal Skills Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to network and build relationships. 

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and market trends to make informed decisions. 

  • Travel: Willingness to travel within the region. 

  • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
