Reliant Care Management Company is seeking a Regional Registered Nurse to oversee, monitor and provide support to our DON's and staff of our skilled nursing facilities.
Responsibilities- Provide consultation and expertise to the facility Directors of Nursing (DONs)
- Monitor patient assessments, care plans, and treatment protocols for both medical and psychiatric patients to ensure accuracy and appropriateness
- Advise on necessary modifications to care plans to optimize patient outcomes and ensure regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with facility nursing personnel to deliver routine and critical educational components that maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines for both medical and psychiatric care
- Provide specialized guidance on psychiatric nursing protocols, including behavioral interventions, medication management, and therapeutic approaches
- Review and discuss weekly required reports submitted by each Director of Nursing across all facilities
- Participate in any required review calls related to patient care plans throughout the region as needed
- Monitor and evaluate dietary recommendations by the dietician, ensuring they meet the specialized needs of both medical and psychiatric patients
- Assist with developing appropriate plans of correction with facility staff to address deficiencies identified during regulatory surveys
- Conduct regular site visits to all facilities to assess nursing care quality, staff competency, and regulatory compliance
- Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes across all facilities
- Serve as a clinical resource for complex patient cases, providing expert consultation to facility nursing staff
- Support the implementation of evidence-based practices in both medical and psychiatric nursing care
- Proven experience as a registered nurse, with at least 3-5 years in skilled nursing facilities
- Experience with psychiatric nursing and behavioral health strongly preferred
- Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures for both medical and psychiatric patients
- Comprehensive understanding of state and federal long-term care guidelines, including regulations specific to psychiatric care
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination, etc.)
- Familiarity with behavioral management techniques and crisis intervention strategies
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Responsible and compassionate approach to patient care
- Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Patient with excellent problem-solving abilities
- Valid unencumbered nursing license RN in Missouri (Required)
