Regional Phlebotomy Supervisor

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Regional Phlebotomy Supervisor to oversee daily operations for phlebotomy services across the Indianapolis and southern Indiana regions. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all assigned locations are staffed, collections are completed efficiently, and communication is streamlined between field staff, dispatch, and laboratories.
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to patient care and safety. This role also includes assisting with scheduling, routing support, and ensuring adherence to all regulatory and company standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise and support mobile and on-site phlebotomists across the assigned region.

Coordinate daily schedules to ensure coverage at all locations and timely specimen collection.

Travel regularly throughout the Indianapolis area to provide oversight and direct support.

Monitor and assist with routing and dispatch coordination to optimize travel and efficiency.

Maintain specimen integrity and compliance with laboratory protocols.

Oversee training and orientation of new phlebotomy team members.

Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and HIPAA standards.

Promote a safe and healthy work environment and adherence to Solaris Diagnostics' procedures.

Track team performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed.

Utilize Solaris mileage tracking systems and other required tools.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

At least 1 year of experience in a medical or customer service setting.

Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

Proof of auto insurance with minimum state coverage, submitted quarterly.

Minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience.

Phlebotomy certification (ASCP, PBT, or equivalent).

Favorable driving record.

Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

National Phlebotomy Certification (ASCP, AT, or PBT) โ certification preferred for at least 3 years, minimum required: 1 year.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Strong hand-eye coordination for specimen handling.

Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) 3โ6 hours per day.

Frequently required to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.

Must be available to work up to 8 hours per day and adjust to schedule demands.

Work is performed at multiple sites within the Indianapolis region.

Frequent exposure to laboratory samples (blood, urine, bodily fluids).

Must be comfortable working in clinical and mobile environments.
