Position Overview
Are you a currently a Sales Leader looking for a new opportunity? We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Growth & Strategy with a proven track record in medical device or pharmaceutical sales to lead our Growth & Strategy organization and drive market expansion for our Physician Practice. This senior leadership role requires a strategic executive who can build and scale sales teams while establishing strong development of business through relationships with healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute comprehensive growth strategies to achieve revenue targets and market penetration goals
- Build and lead a high-performing organization from the ground up.
- Establish market presence in target territories through strategic planning and tactical execution
- Collaborate with executive team to align sales objectives with overall business strategy
Physician Relationship Development
- Identify, engage, and onboard key physicians and healthcare providers as product champions and early adopters
- Build and maintain relationships with thought leaders, department heads, and purchasing decision-makers
- Develop physician advisory boards and clinical advisory committees to guide product development and market strategy
- Create and implement physician education programs and clinical training initiatives
Market Development
- Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities, competitive threats, and optimal go-to-market strategies
- Establish relationships with group purchasing organizations (GPOs), integrated delivery networks (IDNs), and other key stakeholders
- Develop pricing strategies and contract negotiations that balance profitability with market access
- Create and execute plans for product launches, clinical studies, and market expansion initiatives
Required Qualifications
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 10+ years in medical device or pharmaceutical sales with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles
- Proven track record of building sales teams and achieving revenue growth in healthcare markets
- Demonstrated success in establishing relationships with physicians and healthcare providers
- Experience with complex sales cycles, clinical evidence requirements, and regulatory considerations
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Medical or scientific background strongly preferred
- Industry certifications or training in medical device or pharmaceutical sales preferred
Core Competencies
- Deep understanding of healthcare reimbursement, regulatory pathways, and clinical adoption processes
- Strong business acumen with experience in P&L management and budget oversight
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for both clinical and executive audiences
- Proven ability to work in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Experience with CRM systems, sales analytics, and performance management tools
