Regional Director of Group Sales
Job Overview: The Regional Director of Group Sales is responsible for leading the group sales efforts for a portfolio of 11 hotels. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the hospitality industry, be able to build strong relationships with clients. They should be able to work independently as well as part of a team, and have a proven track record of achieving revenue targets. This person will be responsible for taking all incoming leads and will prospect on new business as time allows.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement group sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for a portfolio of hotels within a geographic region
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the group sales business for the portfolio of hotels
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business
- Prepare and present proposals and contracts to clients to secure group business for the portfolio of hotels
- Collaborate with other departments, such as catering and events, to ensure seamless execution of group events for the portfolio of hotels
- Monitor and analyze group sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth for the portfolio of hotels
- Provide guidance and support to team members to help them achieve their goals
- Represent the portfolio of hotels at industry events and conferences to promote the hotels' services and build relationships with potential clients
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure the hotels' group sales strategy remains competitive
- Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management to keep them informed of progress and challenges for the portfolio of hotels
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in group sales, preferably in the hotel industry
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Experience in managing a sales team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales management software
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices
- Ability to travel to attend industry events and conferences as needed
