Location: Bakersfield / Wasco, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Hours of Operation: Monday–Saturday, 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM (flexible scheduling within business needs)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Salary Range: $90,000 – $130,000 annually, depending on experience, credentials, bilingual ability, and clinical leadership responsibilities.
This salary range is provided in compliance with California pay transparency laws.
Position Summary
The Regional Clinical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the clinical quality and delivery of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services within an assigned geographic region. This role provides clinical leadership, supervision, and training to Behavioral Interventionists, Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), BCBA candidates, and supervisory staff. The Regional Clinical Supervisor ensures services are delivered in compliance with BACB ethical standards, funding source requirements, and applicable California regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Oversee all clinical cases within the assigned region, ensuring high-quality ABA service delivery
- Design, implement, and monitor individualized ABA treatment programs for clients with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities (clinic-based, in-home, school, and telehealth)
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments, including but not limited to:
- VB-MAPP
- Vineland
- AFLS
- SAVVY Assessment
- VB-MAPP
- Develop measurable goals, objectives, and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) based on assessment data
- Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to:
- Behavioral Interventionists
- RBTs
- BCBA candidates (in accordance with BACB supervision requirements)
- Behavioral Interventionists
- Train and coach staff, parents, and caregivers on ABA strategies and treatment implementation
- Support and conduct parent training sessions as needed
- Ensure treatment integrity, data collection accuracy, and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with intake, administrative, and leadership teams regarding case assignments and service needs
Maintain compliance with HIPAA, state regulations, and company policies
- Travel between job sites within the Bakersfield/Wasco area as required
- Current and active BCBA certification
- Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, Counseling, Behavior Science, Human Development, Social Work, or a related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience implementing ABA interventions with children with autism
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Behavioral Supervisor, including:
- Designing ABA programs
- Training parents and instructional staff
- Designing ABA programs
- Experience conducting standardized assessments (VB-MAPP, Vineland, AFLS, SAVVY)
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required
Strong leadership, coaching, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill
- Ability to accept and implement constructive feedback
Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients, families, coworkers, and leadership
Additional Requirements (California-Specific)
- Valid California driver’s license
- Reliable vehicle with proof of current auto insurance (in employee’s name)
Willingness to travel between job sites
- Must pass a background check and any required fingerprinting (Live Scan)
- Ability to work within the organization’s hours of operation
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 lbs as needed
