As the Regional Chief Nursing Officer, you will have the opportunity to provide strategic leadership and oversee nursing operations within a specific region of Inpatient Rehabilitation hospitals, ensuring the highest standards of care across all locations. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing rehab specific programs, developing clinical initiatives, and participating in strategic hospital planning. As the Regional CNO, you will mentor and support hospital CNOs and front-line staff and encourage the best practices amongst all nursing department leaders.

Responsibilities

·         Implements the strategic plan and priorities for hospital nursing leaders to ensure efficient and effective clinical operations that provide high quality, safe, and patient-centered care at Nobis Rehabilitation Partners.

·         Oversees and leads the implementation of strategic plans, clinical objectives, policies, standards, procedures, and best practices that ensure excellence in nursing and support the advancement of the nursing practice at Nobis Rehabilitation Partners.

·         Guides and leads Nobis Rehabilitation Partners s organization wide nursing programs and initiatives that drive continuous clinical improvement, discovery, and innovation through research, nursing standardization, evidence-based practices, and optimal patient care performance.

·         Monitors and takes action to drive performance that promotes staff engagement, efficient operations, excellence in quality of care, excellence in patient experience.

·         Leads and champions ongoing quality and patient safety programs to promote, measure, assess and monitor quality improvement activities focused on patient and clinical staff outcomes.

·         Develops and maintains collaborative working relationships with senior operational leadership, clinical service departments, community organizations, and other stakeholders to determine innovative ways to achieve clinical goals and objectives for Nobis Rehabilitation Partners.

·         Ensures Nobis Rehabilitation Partners clinical compliance with all applicable regulatory, licensing, and accrediting agencies.

·         Responsible for the mentoring and onboarding programs in assigned hospitals for nursing leadership

·         Leads succession planning to assure leadership accountability is achieved and maintained.

·         Proactively initiates gap analysis and needs assessment to define new areas for nursing competency assessment and maintenance

·         Sponsors and champions key clinical initiatives, programs, and task forces to improve patient care across Nobis Rehabilitation Partners.

Experience and Key Success factors

·         Bachelor’s degree in nursing. Masters required.

·         10+ years of experience in Nursing, and experience as Chief Nursing Officer.

·         Multi-site oversight experience at an executive nursing level.

·         Inpatient Rehabilitation experience required.

·         CRRN preferred, must complete within one year of acceptance.

·         Regional CNO role requires 75% travel.

·         Strong knowledge of clinical care processes across all nursing disciplines across the continuum of care.

·         Experience in operational enhancement, change management, and process improvement.

·         Strategic thinker and proficient in decision-making.
