Purpose of this Position:  This position is responsible for being a liason for the Allegheny Region & Purvis Corporate. Help create, support and sustain a high performance, innovative, customer-focused culture.

Travel Requirements:  Travel to branches as required

Scope of Authority:  This position reports to the Regional Sales & Operations Manager

Responsibilities and Duties: 

            Assist with human resources functions, including employee relations, performance management, career development, compensation, benefits, payroll, tax compliance, OSHA compliance and HRIS. Assist employees HR/payroll questions by liaison with HR/Payroll at Purvis Corporate.

            Assist with time cards, PTO, and other payroll issues as requested.

            Maintain relationships across the region with all employees. Report any morale concerns, or employee issues/concerns to respective manager & Regional Manager.

            Work with managers & staff to resolve employee relation issues, help interpret company policies, procedures, and guidelines.

            Assist Regional Manager for monthly commission reports as required.

            Track & report mileage for all company vehicles each month. Report tax usage to payroll each month.

            Coordinate job postings with Purvis recruiting department, track & distribute resumes to appropriate managers, coordinate interviews, assist managers through the hiring process, and track onboarding progress.

            Hazardous Communication training for new & existing employees. Provide training(annual) for existing employees, get new employees trained(30 days of hire), maintain all record keeping to meet OSHA regulations. Stay current on OSHA requirements.

 Provide First Aid & CPR training every 2 years based on November 2023. Maintain records & stay current on OSHA requirements.

Travel to branches & complete forklift training for new & existing employees. Provide training(every 3 years), maintain records, stay current on OSHA regulations.

Coordinate employee training and events as directed by Regional Manager.

Coordinate or assist customer events and meetings as directed by Regional Manager.

Assist with departmental projects as required; including, Purchasing, Accounting, Marketing, Sales.

Coordinate, design and issue internal company communication.

Additional duties:

Order gifts for team member milestones

Book hotel rooms as required

Track 45 & 90 day review reminders for new Hires-inform managers when due

Mail New Customer welcome letters for the Regional Manager

Birthday & Anniversary Monthly report

Fill out and Mail anniversary cards

Quarterly branch visits

Ability to independently apply basic mathematical calculations in order to properly administer payroll, analyze statistical data and administer compensation programs.

Considers the relative costs and benefits of actions in order to choose the most appropriate decision.

Demonstrated knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines (recruitment, employee relations, benefits, compensation, performance management, etc.)

Proven ability to work as part of the executive team and drive results across all company functions.

Proven ability to handle sensitive/confidential information and situations with diplomacy, patience and tact.

Demonstrated knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to Human      Resources and general business practices.

Previous payroll experience, including HRIS.

Basic mathematical skills.

Excellent planning and prioritization skills; strong attention to detail.

Customer service focused with effective oral, written and interpersonal skills.

Ability to use payroll software, Microsoft Office suite products.

Physical Requirements

Sedentary work, moderate multi-tasking, including sitting and standing.  Occasional eye strain. Use of phone, hearing acuity, ability to speak clearly.  Finger dexterity.
