General Statement 

The Referral Response Coordinator (RRC) will be responsible for reviewing and triaging incoming potential donors.  The RRC will assess available clinical data or bedside assessment to determine medical suitability for donation. The RRC will gather and communicate medical information with the administrator on call.  This will be done by communicating and interacting with hospital and physician staff in collaborative and professional ways. The RCC will communicat with the hospital teams and will dispatch appropriate Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency (MORA) staff on-site as needed. Hybrid Remote Job - Must reside in Mississippi or Louisiana.

Education and Work Experience Qualifications:

  • A degree in one of the life sciences, example include, RRT, EMT, LPN, etc.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a healthcare setting or equivalent medical experience.
  • The ability to work with all levels of personnel in several health care settings including community donor hospitals and organ transplantation centers.  Must be able to work  within the guidelines of these various institutions.
  • Processes information quickly and accurately and makes sound decisions.
  • The ability to keep accurate records, perform calculations and quantitative procedures and interpret data.
  • The ability to meet the requirements of a variable and demanding call schedule is required. 
  • Maintain / have access to dependable secure high speed internet to ensure effective access to electronic communication / data / EMR’s.
