Job Title: Recruiting Assistant

Location: Columbia, MD

Hours: Full time 40 hours/week M-F 8am-5pm.

Type of hire: Direct hire

Pay: Negotiable, DOE

A growing company in Columbia, MD is in search of a talented, energetic, proactive, and detail-oriented recruiting assistant for the Healthcare Staffing division. This individual will report to the Staffing Manager, and will assist with recruiting efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with creating job descriptions, staging resumes, pre-screening, and interviewing candidates
  • Identify and screen qualified candidates for employment opportunities.
  • Proactively recruit/headhunt candidates from job sites (including but not limited to: Monster, ZipRecruiter, LinkedIn, Indeed, Facebook, and specialty college and career boards) and networking.
  • Screen resumes from applications.
  • Determine applicant qualifications by screening applicants; analyzing responses; verifying references; comparing qualifications to job requirements.
  • Build a pipeline of candidates for potential opportunities with company across several geographic regions. 
  • Assisting with the interview process, hiring process, and managing needs while on projects
  • Collect weekly timesheets from employees.
  • Maintain the applicant tracking systems (Bond Adapt, Bullhorn, and GetHired)
  • Serve as back up to other Recruiters as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

·         Ability to act with limited direction is a must in this role!

·         Strong organizational and tracking skills.

·         Strong written and verbal communication.

·         Ability to work in a team.

·         Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

·         Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment.

·         Ability to manage and prioritize tasks independently.

·         Ability to evaluate the professional attitude and technical competencies of candidates.

·         Must be deadline driven with an ability to prioritize.

·         Bachelor’s degree preferred
