R&D Prototype Engineer
Infintium is a team of engineers developing next generation small and medium fuel cell systems. We are looking for active, driven, and self-motivated individuals to develop and support the systems, application control needs, and manufacturing and corporate operations for our growing list of fuel cell products in an aggressively expanding market.
We are currently seeking a R&D Prototype Engineer to help us support our Engineering Department in initiatives to put great products into our customer's hands.
The R&D Prototype Engineer will be responsible for creating new, and refining existing, products and technologies through a process of researching, designing, experimenting, and testing. Duties will include creating and developing new products to meet consumer needs.

Description:
- Design / Develop proof of concept prototypes for units and subsystems
- Work to develop concepts towards technological advancement of product lineup.
- Design 3D and 2D parts as necessary to support conceptual testing
- Build, instrument and execute testing on proof of concept designs
- Compile test data into reports for review with engineering team and leadership.
- Make recommendations on next steps / future designs
- Manage personal timelines to
convey project status and estimated completion
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering.
- Strong communication skills, teamwork, analysis, judgment and flexibility.
- Experience with 3D CAD Tools (SolidWorks Preferred)
- Ability to critically analyze data, and technical documents.
- Passion for learning and growing one’s engineering skillset and product knowledge.
- Innovation and growth mindset.
- Desire to work in a hands-on environment.
- Experience in hands on electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience with Data Acquisition Systems.
Additional Desired Skills:
- Experience in manufacturing environments, particularly assembly operations.
- Self-Starter – Ability to lead and drive testing and validation with little oversight.
- Working Knowledge of:
- Thermal and fluid systems (coolant / air / hydrogen)
- Electrical systems
- Experience with PEM stack hydrogen fuel cells or Lithium-Ion Batteries.
- Working Experience with SolidWorks 2018+ in (CSWA a plus).
