R&D Fabricator

To meet the growing demand for our product we’re currently seeking an R&D Fabricator. In this position you will assist the R&D team with product development projects and assignments. You’ll collaborate with other team members across the company to solve critical problems throughout the product development process.

Your responsibilities will include:

·        Assisting with fabrication and assembly of concepts and prototypes

·        Fabricating jigs and fixtures for testing and replicating various field conditions

·        Collaborate with engineers and production employees to identify areas for improvement in the manufacturing process

·        Testing prototypes to verify product reliability and make adjustments as required

·        Participate in product development projects, which include researching and developing ideas for new and current existing products

We’re looking for:

·        3 years of MIG welding experience

·        Experience with Oxy acetylene, plasma cutting and carbon arc gouging

·        The ability to read and interpret blueprints

·        Strong numeracy and problem-solving skills

·        The ability to work with minimal supervision (time management and organizational skills)

·        Computer skills including CAD experience would be considered an asset

·        Experience in metal fabrication using saw, drill, lathe and/or mill an asset
