IMC is currently hiring a Quality Director (RN), who is responsible for participating as a member of the hospital's management team in planning, policy formulation and decision making with particular reference to the role, functions and operations of the quality department. 

EDUCATION

  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
  • BSN preferred

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

  • Current RN license in State of Louisiana

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  • Two years of nursing management experience 

JOB KNOWLEDGE

  • Knowledge of the Joint Commission standards and survey process
  • Ability to clearly formulate and articulate concepts and ideas within small or large groups
  • Conflict resolution, critical analysis, stress management, and leadership skills needed
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of human resources and financial management 
  • Knowledge of Risk Management procedures. medical staff credentialing, performance improvement, and Infection Control/Employee Health

PRINCIPLE TASKS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recommends and assists with the formulation, development, and review of departmental policies and procedures on an annual basis. 
  • Prepares directives, guidelines, and information on various components of the Quality Management Program for dissemination within the hospital in a timely manner. 
  • Responsible for preparing form interacting with, and responding to regulatory agencies.
  • Facilities all Performance Improvement (PI) Projects, and works with Medical Staff Coordinator in maintenance of documentation associated with those team processes. 
  • Assesses information collected from PI processes in order to identify important problems. trends, for improvement opportunities. 
  • Oversees the development/revisions to the Performance Improvement Program to include the evaluation of data.
  • Ensures adequacy of data collection, reporting, and analysis of various hospital departments and coordinates the dissemination of pertinent information, as needed. 
  • Reports all Performance Improvement processes to the MEC on a quarterly basis.  
  • Evaluates the PI Process annually, taking action on trends noted, and reporting results as needed. 
  • Facilitates hospital-wide The Joint Commission standards and other regulatory compliance. 
  • Cooperates with directors and manager in planning, implementing, and education on Performance Improvement and The Joint Commission standards.
